New 2018 VW Polo in testing phase

The new generation 2018 VW Polo is in testing phase. The new 2018 VW Polo was spotted in Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. The spy photos of the car started making the rounds on the internet, the car said to be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

VW later released a video of the camouflaged car being tested in South Africa. The VW Polo is reportedly built on the MQB-platform which underpins the Golf. That makes it longer and wiser and ultimately bigger than its predecessor. The car is also expected to be much more sophisticated than the current one.

The silhouette of the car has changed a bit, with the length and the width being increased. The headlamp cluster has been completely updated and might also have integrated LED DRLs (in top trims). The front end sees a minor change with an updated grille, getting a chrome strip. The rear remains more or less similar to the current model on sale.

It has been reported that the official photos and specifications of the new VW Polo may be available as soon as June 2017. The new VW Polo is expected to hit the South African in early 2018.
